Not to start a huge "this vs. that" discussion, but Logic Audio Platinum is
just as functional as Digital Performer IMO. You can create insane
environments that suit your needs/imagination and it integrates with VST
Instruments/plugins well. It can also use TDM hardware if you have it. I
use both but find Logic far quicker to get ideas down with. Logic comes
with over 30 proprietary plugins which are surprisingly good (love the Bit
Crusher). Though, DP also has the proprietary thing going with their MAS
plugins which can also be very cool. Check out the Audioease Nautilus
Bundle - it has a really wicked granulator called Riverrun. Demos are
available. www.audioease.com
As stated in previous posts, it all depends on what sequencer works best
with your setup/working methods. Try a few out and pick the one you like.
No one should tell you which to use.
